Hello from the North

Greetings all and thanks Stretch for setting this up. I didn't entirely disappear and I have been in touch with the other two of our ASOPA trio, Vicki Little and Philthy Phil Donnison, in very recent years. I am amazed at the energy that's gone into organising the reunion - thanks Jenny, Vicki and Stretch - and I'm looking forward to catching up and yarning at the tarted up Buena Vista and other places. I remember watching the late John Meillion come to the end of what would be for most a marathon drinking session there before being arrested for drink-driving on his way home. He told the Magistrate he'd 'only' had 26 schooners in the day and was forced to finish early to visit his sick grandmother. Phil D and I never came up with excuses quite as colourful for our late returns to Middle Head after a lunchtime of pots and pool. There will be lots of stories to tell when we meet again.
